Henry Alexander Zylawski,'s Obituary
Henry A. Zylawski, Sr. Passed away Jan. 23, 2008. Born Feb. 26, 1921, in Mt. Carmel, PA, he worked in a coal mine. Times were hard, and he joined the Army. At 17, he survived 7 campaigns of WWII, from Pearl Harbor to Africa. He married Rita and had a son named Henry. He remarried Candida Rivera, and had two more sons, John and Richard. My Dad worked his way up after the war to become Vice President of the Carpenters Union Local #1536 in N.Y.C. He helped hundreds, if not thousands, of people join the union. He loved fishing, hunting, and gardening. We love you, Dad, we'll miss you. Getta Wolfhound. P.S. We'll see you soon.
