Helga Kilen's Obituary
Helga Kilen (Reidel), 78 of Spanaway, Washington, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 9, 2023. Born June 20, 1944 in West Berlin, Germany. Helga moved to the U.S. at just 20 years of age to begin her family, attend beauty school, become a beautician, raise four children, and eventually retire from the Bethel School District. She brought with her many cherished German recipes that we still enjoy today. Helga was married to Larry Kilen for 50 years before he passed in 2019. They are both missed dearly, but now together always. Helga is survived by her son, Scott Gaines; daughters, Stefanie Higgins, Michelle Asher, Nicole Kilen; six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
