Helen was an advocate and servant to the Tacoma community. A devoted mother, foster mother, aunt, sister and friend. She was a woman who truly loved God, and showed the love of Christ, not with just words but with her heartfelt acts of service. She loved to attend to the needs of the less fortunate, to the homeless, to child and youth services. She has been recognized countless times by Pierce County Governor's office as an outstanding community service worker and has founded countless outreach programs. She devoted her time serving her family, her church and her community. She never met a stranger, everyone was a child of God in her eyes, and if their was a need she insured that it was met. Those who have had the awesome pleasure of crossing her path have been truly blessed by her. Her children call her blessed knowing that she was a special woman and will have a special place in her hearts always.
