Helen Delores Tietz's Obituary
HELEN D. TIETZ
Helen D. Tietz, 94, completed her Journey with Jesus on Thursday, February 23, 2017. She was born on January 16, 1923 in Minnesota and lived most of her life in the Puget Sound area of Washington. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma and worked as a bookkeeper at Nalley's, and, on February 6, 1944, she and Warren Tietz were married, beginning her full-time career as a loving Wife and Mother of four. She was a Mother, Grandma, Great Grandma and Friend to everyone. She never knew a stranger! She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church, was very active in the Trails End Lake Community Club, was an avid gardener and an accomplished artist in oil and acrylic paints. She was preceded in death by her beloved Husband, Warren, and Grandson, Jason.
Helen is survived by her three sons, Terry, Don, Chuck (Kathy), and her daughter, Barbara; 9 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; 4 Nieces and Nephews and their Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
Helen's Celebration of Life will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church, 151 Tremont St., Port Orchard, WA at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 4, 2017. A private family graveside service will be at Mountain View Memorial Park, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. Lakewood WA, on Sunday, March 5, 2017 at 11:00 AM.
