Helen Bernice Sater's Obituary
Helen Sater passed away February 10th, 2017 peacefully at her home with family by her side. Helen was born November 29th, 1923 in White Earth, North Dakota. She was the daughter of Olaus and Karina Christopherson and was the last surviving sibling of 9 brothers and sisters.
Helen moved to Tacoma with her family in her teens. She attended Stadium High and graduated from Lincoln, Class of 1942. Following High School she moved to Hawaii and worked in the banking field. When she returned to Tacoma, she married Robert Sater in 1953. Together they worked at their Insurance Agency.
Their retirement was filled with time spent entertaining friends and family at their beach house in Olalla, WA and at their University Place home. Along with entertaining, Helen enjoyed walking, yard work, yoga, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her generosity and kindness will be missed by many and will forever live on in our hearts.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband Bob Sater. Helen is survived by Daughter, Carrie Sater, grandchildren Rachel and Ryan Jacobson and great grandchildren Dylan Jacobson and Maddison Wicks, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Friday March 10th, 2017 at 1:00pm at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Fircrest, WA.
