Helen KelloggHelen Kellogg, 95, beloved wife, mother and grandmother died peacefully in her home on Nov. 1, 2006. She was born in Miles City, Montana on July 25, 1911, and graduated from Jordan High School in Montana. After finishing two years of what was then called Â"Normal School,Â" in Billings Montana in 1932, she taught for 4 years in Garfield County, Mt. Helen eloped in 1934 with Harold Kellogg and they recently celebrated their 72nd anniversary.Helen and Harold moved to the Northwest in 1941 during WWII. For a while she worked in the Bremerton shipyards and later worked for 20 years as a base supply clerk and supervisor on McChord Airbase. After retiring in 1971, she and Harold enjoyed several years of traveling to the Southwest in their motor home with family and friends.Helen was preceded in death by her brother, Alva Â"PeteÂ" Osborn and sister, Dolly Garber. She is survived by her husband, Harold, daughter Kay Gordon of Silverdale, WA and Dennis (Jean) Kellogg of Tacoma, and sister Mina Waltenbaugh in Montana. Her Beloved grandchildren are Mitch (Sherrie) Gordon, Laura (Steve) Lutz, Gregg Gordon, Rod (Beverly) Gordon, Tina Bowman, Katy (Jared) Ruckle, and David Kellogg and 7 great-grandchildren, Stephen, Justin, Scott, Matthew, Brianne, Madeline, and Jessica.Her family wishes to give special thanks to all the Hospice personnel that tended to Helen. As well as private care attendants, Shari Lowe and Gail Ford. Remembrances may be given to Hospice or a favorite charity of your choice.
