Helen Mary Hopkins' Obituary
Helen was born on March 18, 1933 in Tacoma and passed away peacefully at home with family in Puyallup on November 4, 2017. She is preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Walter Raedisch and her husband Richard Hopkins. She is survived by her daughter Pamela Jackson (Gary) and son Greg Hopkins. She also has two grandchildren Stacy Smith (Corey) and Jeffrey Jackson (Katie) and two great grandchildren, Jackson and Addison Smith.
Helen was a graduate of Stadium high school and a graduate of University of Puget Sound. She married her longtime sweetheart on June 5, 1959. She had a long teaching career working in the Tacoma, Fife, and / Clover Park School District, where she retired.
Helen lived at Silver Creek Retirement where she made many good friends. She enjoyed weekly lunch gatherings with old friends from her camping days in the Good Sam RV club. She just recently moved home with her daughter and son in law to spend the rest of her days with her family.
There will be a private graveside service for the family followed by a memorial service at Manitou Park Presbyterian Church, located at 6613 S. Cheyenne St. Tacoma WA 98409 at 11am on November 16th, 2017. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Helen's church or your charity of choice.
