Helen Gunsch Hillius' Obituary
Heaven celebrated the arrival of Helen Gunsch Hillius on the evening of March 5, 2016. Waiting for her there was Raimond, her husband of 38 years. Helen spent her last days surrounded by the family and care-givers who she loved so much in life.
Helen was born on June 6, 1924 to Fredrick Gunsch and Christina Frey in Gackle, North Dakota. She married Raimond Hillius on June 1, 1941 and they had three children before he preceded her to Heaven in 1979. Helen loved to laugh and had a wonderful sense of humor. She adored celebrations and having friends and family nearby. Helen placed her trust in the Lord for almost 92 years and we know that one day we will be reunited with her and we look forward to that day.
She leaves behind a legacy that includes her children: Ron (Sharon) Hillius, Diane (Jerry) Stallman and Ken (Gwen) Hillius; eight grandchildren: William, Vicki, Gary, Dale, Doug, Denis, Barrie and Emilie; and 10 great-grandchildren.
