Helen was my mother Maybelle's baby sister. Helen was, without a doubt, the most exciting aunt a little girl could have. She drove a flashy car, which always attracked much envy in the little mining town of Virginia, Minnesota, where I grew up. She had more service medals than any of the guys in town, and they were awed by her. She had great energy and an infectious laugh. She was always willing to try anything. She was one of the kindest people I have ever known. And she loved me and was proud of me always. Olga, my father-in-law died two days ago, so I will be unable to travel to Helen's funeral. But my thoughts and prayers are with you.##imported-begin##Laurie Riach McCallum##imported-end##
