Hazel Irene Bird's Obituary
Hazel I. Bird, 85, passed on October 10, 2010 in Duncan, Arizona, after a long illness. She was a long time resident of Parkland, Washington having moved to Arizona in 2008 to be with her daughter. She was born in Cloverdale, BC, Canada on August 2, 1925. At eighteen she joined the CWAC (Canadian Women's Army Corp) where she met the love of her life, Ivory J. Bird and they married in 1947. She was an avid golfer and also loved to work in her yard. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Farrington of AZ; grandsons, Eric Bird of Tacoma, Anthony Bird of Seattle, and Chris Farrington of AZ; daughter-in-law, Heromi Bird of Tacoma; brother, David A. Pease, of Hope, BC, Canada, sister-in-law, Karen Bird of FL and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ivory J. Bird; son, Bruce P. Bird, parents, Earl and Valerie Pease. Services will be Saturday October 16th at the Latter Day Saints Parkland Ward at 2 PM, with burial in Mountain View Memorial Park.
