Hazel Ann Welsh
Hazel Ann Welsh passed away peacefully on the morning of Sept. 10, 2011. Though small in stature, she was enormous in character and kindness. Her love for her family knew no limits, she brought joy to all who knew her and she will be greatly missed. Hazel was born on June 30th, 1931 in Council Bluffs, Iowa, where she married the love of her life, Donald Welsh, on July 5, 1949. Military service brought the couple to Tacoma, WA in 1954. She is survived by four children; Deborah Galvan and husband John of Spanaway, Lynette Lieurance and husband Ben of Gig Harbor, Gene Welsh and wife Rhonda of Puyallup and Kevin Welsh of Spokane; 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren and her sister Pamela Stanley of Anchorage, AK. Hazel lived in Tacoma for over 50 years. She was a retired credit services manager for the Bon Marche and was active in the Credit Women Int'l. She was also a member of the Order of Eastern Star and served as Grand Worthy Matron. A memorial service will be held on Thursday September, 15 at 1:00pm at Mountain View Funeral Home in Tacoma, WA.
