Today, April 12, 2018 the sun broke through on occasion and filled my heart with joy and reflection.. I had no thoughts of stress and what tomorrow may bring because my children and their spouses were all around me with my grandchildren and my life was complete. My two brother in laws, Jason and Ronnie called to tell me they loved me, which was terrifying and comforting all in one....We laughed a lot, told old stories of when we were all young, yes even their mother, Christie and I.....I was at peace in my soul all the while realizing tomorrow is never guaranteed and the only thing for sure is today...You see today at 3:45 this morning my mother, Haruko Sue Heaton stopped suffering form the cancer that had ravaged her tiny little body since discovery about 6 months ago. She lived almost 86 years on this earth and left behind 3 good men with their wives, 5 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. I can only smile when I think of the fact none of us would be here without her first. Her last words to me before she slipped into her peaceful sleep to ease her pain were, " I see daddy, my father whom has been gone since September 19, 1987 and he is so tall, young and handsome and she smiled.......My heart is filled with joy knowing my mom is with my dad and they are young, vibrant, in love and smiling their amazing smiles we all know and have seen with Gods arms around them.
