Harry Pitts' Obituary
Harry Pitts, 68, of 2009 South 18th Street Tacoma, Washington entered eternal rest on May 30, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Medical Center.
Born in Newberry County, the son of the late Mary Lee Pitts and the late Willie Speaks of South Carolina. He attended Newberry Schools and later enlisted in the United States Army, where he served 12 years. He had several distinguished medals while serving his country.
He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Pitts, his loving sisters Martha Ann Rainer of Newberry, SC and Mary Smith (Larry) of Ooltewah, TN. He is also survived by his 5 grandchildren, Malik Jones, Lauren Taylor, Ricky Taylor, Noah Taylor and Isabella Pitts and a host of nieces and nephews. He also leaves a devoted friend, Gisela Jackson, of the home to cherish his life and memories.
He was preceded in death by his oldest niece, Tonya A. Smith, of Newberry, South Carolina.
A memorial service to celebrate Harry’s life will be held in South Carolina at a later date.
