Harry Jackson Sr.'s Obituary
Harry Jackson was born October 29, 1949 in Baltimore, Maryland. He is the son of David Foster and Louise Jackson. Harry came to Tacoma in 1998 making Pacific Northwest his home where he met his companion and love of 22 years (Sandra). He was employed by Fred Meyers for fifteen years when he retired as Facility and Maintenance Engineer. He has been a member of the Tacoma Elk Lodge for 12 years. Active in community serves by co-sponsoring children events, community picnics to help raise awareness of helping others. This love for community was a byproduct of his love for family. Harry enjoyed feeding his family with his fabulous barbeque and Sandra's wonderful baked beans. He enjoyed music, food , laughter, and family. Harry was also known for not keeping secrets and loved to put you in a hot seat (LOL). His smile was infectious and anyone in his presence could not resist the joy he had. Hospitable and always kind and generous in so many ways for family and friends. He loved church and attended St. John (Transformation Ministries International).
He is survived by his wife Sandra, sister Virginia Jackson and son Harry Jackson II. He is proceeded by his two brothers William Jackson and David Leon Foster. Harry has eight grandchildren; Kierra, Imani, Treydon, Guyvon, Harry III, Quell; Karmelo, Mia Cigarruista and two step daughters Corrida Cigarruista and Dr. Lateshea Myers and in addition survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and "in-loves".
