Harry M. Hale's Obituary
Harry Milton Hale passed away at the age of 71. Born on December 26, 1945 in Seattle,
WA. to Harry H. and Elsie (Hilburn) Hale. Harry was born at the Naval hospital in Seattle in the middle 40's. Harry's nick name was "Pedro" Pete and he learned at a young age how to work on cars and trucks etc. from Dudley Ballard. Dudley could take a smashed up car and make it look as if it just came off the showroom floor. Pete continued learning how to work on cars and Dudley took Pete under his wing and taught him how to turn a wrench. Another great person who impacted Pete's life was his boy scout leader, Brisco and Pete's mother helped Pete learn and receive his patches and awards. He was very proud to be a boy scout and he was also a tribal member to the Colville Confederated Tribes of Nespelem, WA. Pete was also a member of the V.F.W., the Eagles and Moose Lodge. He enjoyed camping and fishing but most of all, Pete enjoyed his time in Liberty, WA. where he loved the great outdoors. He joined the Army and served two tours in Germany and then to France to finish his tour. He then came home to Cle Elum, WA. and Pete started working with the Bonneville Power Administration in Pasco, WA. where he worked for over 30 years. Pete enjoyed gambling and family vacations and was also a lotto winner of one million dollars as well.
His surviving family members are his four sisters, Marlene Hale of Kennewick, WA. and Winnie Marchand of Coulee City, Bernice Sieker of Grand Coulee and Ellerae of Coulee City. seven children Don of Kennewick, WA. Todd and Scott of Marysville, WA. Wenona and John Hale of Tacoma, WA. and Jason Hale of Cosmopolis, WA. Pete also helped raise Nick Varella which was like a son to him as well. A host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. Pete was preceded in death by his wife Artie who passed suddenly in Lind,WA. this last October 2016. His father and mother Harvey Harland and Elsie (Hilburn) Hale, a son Michael Terry and grandson Jesse and Nephew Frankie Seiker, numerous aunts and uncles. Pete will be laid to rest with his wife Artie at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA. with the date and time to be announced later, then all family and friends will be celebrating their lives together. the family thanks you for all the condolences received and if you would like to assist with costs, this would be very appreciated. Memorial contributions may also be accepted to the Tacoma Eagles in remembrance of Pete and Artie.
