Harry and Sally Harnisch's Obituary
It is with sadness that I share the passing of my father Harry H. Harnisch Jr. He left us peacefully moving on to his next journey in the early morning hours today. I am fortunate to have parents that were both ground breakers in their lives. I am fortunate to know that my dad loved me, was proud of me and supported me throughout the years. He loved my husband Irish and was grateful that we were brought together. My dad lived almost 90 years and accomplished many things. Most all of you had the opportunity to know my parents over the years. Thank you for being part of their lives.
My beautiful mom gained her wings. She is at peace, being greeted by dad, grama, grampa, Richard and her best friend Sue as well as all the fur babies that were loved so much over the years. I know Irish's mom Rose was there to greet her as well sharing an amazing cocktail as they got to know each other. My mom was an amazing woman of firsts. The first to qualify for a home lone without a man. The first to take on a national company for being discriminated against. She was on the front lines of feminism and doing it all in four inch heals. I have often said the best gift my mom gave me was the gift of myself. My sense of values, self worth and the ability to embrace my unique qualities. We can often loose sight of those lessons for many reasons. I know, I need only look to the stars and be guided by her wisdom and strength. My mother also loved her new son, my husband, Irish. She said after meeting him the first time "I had found a peach of a man". She loved my sister Christy and was so proud of all her accomplishments and successes. How fortunate we were to spend these last few weeks with mom and dad. Love you to the moon and back, forever and always.
