Harrison was an exceptional individual, and the privilege of knowing him profoundly enriched my life. I miss him all the time and grieve for the immeasurable loss this is for his family.
Harrison’s unwavering devotion to his faith and his family was constantly evident. His willingness to share his beliefs and demonstrate how they shaped his worldview and guided his actions with grace and dignity was truly inspiring. His love for his family and his pride in his roles as a son, brother, father, and uncle were infectious, and his unwavering commitment to caring for his loved ones was a source of joy and inspiration.
Harrison’s natural leadership possessed a unique combination of strength and humility. He effortlessly transitioned from leading team meetings and providing one-on-one coaching and mentoring to assisting in training new staff, operating trucks, manning the front desk, helping in the kitchen, maintaining the parking lot, or counseling someone in crisis. His ability to resolve conflicts peacefully and warmly with everyone he encountered, from greeting familiar individuals with a smile to welcoming newcomers with respect, was truly remarkable.
Harrison was a compassionate advocate for those in need. He possessed an unwavering heart of empathy for individuals who had endured challenging life experiences, and he was willing to offer care and support to guide them towards a brighter future. He was an advocate for his team members, not afraid to challenge management when he believed that employees were not being treated fairly or that policies were not in the best interest of the organization. He calmly explained the issues at hand and presented viable solutions, and his insights were consistently accurate. Through observing his actions, I developed a deep respect and trust in him, and I sought his counsel before making difficult decisions. I valued his honesty, thoughtfulness, heart to serve, and unwavering integrity, and I truly admired him. I have comfort knowing he is joyfully in paradise with his savior.
