Harriet S. Towe's Obituary
Celebrating the life of Harriet Susan Towe.
Born on April 1st, 1938 in Utica Minnesota. Her parents were Everett and Hazel Burt. She was one of 13 children. In 1958 she married Andrew Towe, a U.S. Air Force soldier and they entered the military life, travelling to many states and an overseas tour to Germany. They retired in Tacoma in 1977. During their marriage they had 3 children: Robin, Andrew, and Larry. Her husband passed away in 1980. Harriet met her partner Michael Jones in 1982 and they were together until her passing.
Harriet enjoyed her life. She was very athletic and enjoyed baseball, softball, golfing and bowling. She bowled with the Tacoma Women’s Travel League. She was league champion for many years at both the McChord and Brookdale Golf courses. She loved watching sports, playing bingo and going to the casino.
Her children and grandchildren were the biggest love of her life. She is preceded in death by her husband and grandchild Nicholas. She is survived by her partner Micheal Jones, daughter Robin Ring son-in-law Scott Ring, son Andrew Towe Jr, son Larry Towe daughter-in-law Hanh Towe. Her grandchildren Jennifer Ring, Kristin and Justin Lee, Ryan Towe, Alex Towe, and Hanha Towe. Her great grandchildren Jaeden and Kiana Lee.
