Harold Wilcken Pratt, Jr.
Harold Wilcken Pratt, Jr. was born Oct. 11, 1930, in Mexico City, D.F., Mexico to Harold Wilcken Pratt and Anna Hendrickson. He passed away on April 15, 2009, in Tacoma, WA. He was a faithful servant of God and sought to do His will. His beloved eternal companion Constance Decker Pratt departed this life in 2004. He is survived by his children Keith (Annette), Ron (Pam), Mark (Melanie), Catherine, Gary (Debbie), Dale (Stephanie), and Jared (Barbara); six of his nine sisters, Lucile, Berta, Carmen, Ramona, Doratha Rae, and Kathleen; 21 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He was an U.S. Air Force pilot, retired as a Major, and served in many parts of the world including Japan and Panama. He was later a real estate appraiser. He held bachelor's degrees from Brigham Young University and Evergreen State College, and a master's degree in counseling from Central Washington University. He loved his family and family history. He was a life-long member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served diligently as home teacher, bishop, stake presidency counselor, temple worker, mission president, and stake patriarch. He served five missions, including to Mexico (twice), Texas, Florida, and the Dominican Republic. He gave over 10 years of his life to full-time missions - a generous tithe of his time on earth. He extended his family's heritage of faith. Viewing at 8:30 am, Mon., April 20, 2009, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 2455 S. 78th St., Tacoma, with funeral services following at 10:00 am. Interment with be in Snowflake Cemetery, AZ, on Sat., April 25, 2009. There will be a brief graveside service at 12:30 pm. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home, 253-584-0252.
