Bill and I both loved the Shelly and his family. He and Sandy were the best neighbors anyone could hope for. We sure looked out for each other here on ‘Poverty Ridge’. Lol For many years, he and Sandy would anonymously leave plants and flower baskets on our door but we always knew who they were from. 😊 Being master gardeners, they were always willing to help us with our garden issues. After Sandy passed, I got to know Shelly even better as I would frequently check in on him. I have wonderful memories of visiting with him in his kitchen, sometimes for hours. I can honestly say that he was the most ethical, intelligent, caring, thoughtful, joyful, humble men I have ever had the privileged of knowing. It pains me to think there will be no more lunches or birthday celebrations with him and his family. I was in awe of his mind and how even in his 90’s he still had a great mind. Bill and I will always cherish our memories of him. Our thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. We send our love and regret that we will be unable to attend Shelly’s service but we will certainly be thinking of you all. Thanks for posting to this site, I sure have enjoyed each and every post! 😊 ❤️🙏
