I have respected Hal for many years as he was my upper supervisor at Cadet Personnel, ROTC. He was a very distingushed gentleman and performed his job in an outstanding manner.
He will be missed.##imported-begin##H. Kestner##imported-end##
Connie and Family,
My sincerest condolences to you. Hal was a great soldier, a fine civil servant, and a wonderful human being. He will be missed by all, particularly the many young cadets who became officers in the US Army because of his dedication, commitment, and hard work to assist them realize their dream.

Kenny. Sorry to here of your father's passing. I always enjoyed talking with Hal. He was one of the nicest and brightest men I ever had the privilege of knowing. I lost my Dad in '99, still miss him dearly, yet still feel his presence in my life, as I am sure you will also. Take care.##imported-begin##Tim Tveit##imported-end##
Connie - I was so sorry to read of Mr. Iverson's passing in the newspaper. Bought back so many good memories. I know you don't remember but I still have a big white china goose that I use for a planter that you and Hal gave me one year for Christmas when we worked at the Test Bed. Mr. Iverson was also such a gentleman and kind person. He use to always protect me from those old "Army" guys (that was before Gary Brown made General and went on to ROTC and then Hal went to work there also.) He would always tell me if they bothered me to just let him know and he would take care of them for me. Again, I remember him fondly and wish that I had kept up after we no longer worked together. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. With deepest sympathy.##imported-begin##Shirley Sundquist##imported-end##
Dearest Connie and Family;
We offer our sincere condolences to you and your family. My memory can't recall the last time we were together but it has been entirely too long. Hal was a true friend and a most loyal compatriot. Hal and I had many conversations on various topics and I always felt that I learned from him valuable lessons about life in general and the Army in particular. Hal was a true leader that led by example. We are all better human beings for knowing him. Our love to you and yours. Will look forward to seeing you the next time we get to the Pacific Northwest.##imported-begin##Rod & Barb Winterbottom##imported-end##

Dear Connie and Family, Over the five plus years that I worked with Hal at ROTC I came to respect his honesty and integrity very much. I worked up in Budget and managed the ROTC Scholarship accounts and so we talked often both business and politics. He gave 200% to everything he did as a collegue, a mentor and I know he loved his family and country above all else. To be a good example is the very best thing any of us can hope to be and Hal was definately a good example. My deepest sympathy to all his family.##imported-begin##Nancy Pochert##imported-end##
Dear Aunt Connie, Stephen, Betty, Kenny, and Karen,
I'm so sorry about the loss of Uncle Hal, he will be greatly missed. He was such a multi-faceted and interesting, and surprisingly tender person. We are going to visit Tacoma again soon, there will be two less people there now that we love. As a child, I always thought Uncle Hal was a strict and rather stern parent, and kind of scary! I couldn't have been more wrong! We had so much fun as adults those times in St. Louis, Las Vegas, and when we visited in Tacoma a couple of years ago. Bobby confided in me how much it meant that Hal accepted and loved him, even though not agreeing with some choices he had made. He made my husband Robert's nieces go on a boat ride even though they were afraid of the water, and they loved it! He was working on planting flowers, and making water fountains, and I'll never forget him anxiously waiting in the middle of the street for us to arrive, to make sure we found the house! Uncle Hal, I hope to see you waiting for me again someday on those streets of gold!
Love,
Michelle##imported-begin##Michelle Quigley (Gray)##imported-end##
Hal Iverson never let me down when it came to good advise and how the 'Army ROTC' system works. I have spoke with Hal many a times on the phone and experienced the pleasure of meeting him during a TDY trip to Fort Lewis, WA. Hal could always bring a smile no matter how bad your day was going. God Bless.##imported-begin##Sandy Henry##imported-end##
