Harold R. Carlson's Obituary
A much — loved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, Harold R. Carlson, 91, of Fircrest, Washington, passed away peacefully August 28, 2013.
Harold was born February 19, 1922, in Tacoma, WA, son of Swedish parents, Olof and Sigrid Carlson. Graduate from Lincoln High School in 1940. He lived a great life, enjoying traveling, golf, volunteering and donating within the community. He spent most of his working life in the banking industry and retired as Vice President and manager with Wells Fargo in 1985 to be with his family. He was a loving person with a heart of gold.
Harold was a navigator in the Seventh Air force, 11th Bomb group stationed at Guam during World War II. While Harold resided in Fircrest, he was a member of the Lakewood Rotary since 1963 and longtime active member of The Fircrest Golf Club and First United Methodist Church.
Harold was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 67 years, Marian Carlson, of Fircrest; he is survived by his daughter, Barbara Menson, of Tacoma; daughter, Joan Bowers (Jerry), of Lacey. He was the adored grandfather to Heather Bouffiou, Ryan Bouffiou, Tanya Bowers and Keith Bowers and Breanna Menson. Great grandchildren, Kaylee Carman, Julian Keyshaun, Atiyana Xaria, Alexandra Marie, Mackenna, Hank, Caroline and Bouffiou. He was preceded in death by his parents. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
