Harmon (Dick) MilesOct. 10, 1929 Â- Sept. 28, 2004Dick, the son of Margaret Miles, passed away in Fort Lewis, WA at Madigan Army Medical Center surrounded by his family.Dick was raised in Centralia, WA where he graduated H.S. and entered the Army in 1948 as a private. He was commissioned as a 2nd Lt. at Fort Benning, GA and retired as a Lt. Col. in 1970 at Fort Lewis, WA. Dick proudly served his country in Korea and Vietnam as a decorated veteran.Dick is survived by his wife Alliene of 53 years, his 93 year old mother Margaret, his children Teresa, Harlon and Terry; grandchildren Tera, Jessica, Jesse and Anthony; great-grandchildren Issabell, Ashley and Zachery; and extended family.Dick loved golfing and traveling. Most of all, Dick loved spending time with his family.Funeral services will be held in the Mt. View Celebration of Life Center, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd, Tacoma, WA on Saturday, Oct. 2 at 4:00 pm. Followed by a reception at the Lakewood Elks Lodge, 6313 75th St. W., Lakewood, WA.
