Karen Jones
Hello Family and Friends,
I have so many memories of this great man, he was the first person to offer me a job as a travel agent when I was at the young age of 18 fresh out of travel school back in 1985. My husband Don was stationed at Fort Lewis and we too lived in Stillacome where he and his wife Kristina lived also. After my husband came down on orders to go to Germany, we still stayed in contact and he visited us once there in our small town of Salach and we went to dinner in Schwabish Gmund. We went to our favorite guest house "Mickeys" we called it where we ate Italian and he introduced us to cappuccinos with a shot of Sambuca on the side and we had to have 3 coffee beans on top. I have so many fond memories of him and he will truly be missed. While working at Universal Travel we also had what we called "Han's Herem" which was myself, Teri ( her husband was a dentist) Brenda Wilson and is lovely daughter Ursula.
I am still in the travel business but unfortunately have been on furlough since March 25th due to Covid 19. I was going through my old files/resumes/letter of reference ect and had to do a Google search to find out if the agency was still there. It took some digging, but I found the past and this sad news, he will be missed.
Sincerely and love to Ursula and her family,
Karen Jones
