Hanna Elisabeth Miller's Obituary
Hanna Elisabeth (Koehler) Miller Age 92, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2016. She was born on August 17, 1923 in Gersdorf Germany to Richard and Elisabeth Koehler. She attended Collins Grade School, Stewart Junior High and graduated from Lincoln High School, class of 1941. Upon graduation, she attended Beutel Business College and worked at Younglove Grocery Company in Tacoma. She married the love of her life, Edward Henry Miller, in 1946 and had 46 years of a wonderful marriage. They enjoyed traveling to many European countries as well as Australia and New Zealand. They enjoyed fishing and golfing and started the Miller inventory service in the 50's. They inventoried privately owned grocery and supermarkets in the northwest. Hanna was hardworking, loved sewing, ceramics, and watching the Mariners but her passion was knitting beautiful scarves for craft and art shows and for friends. She was an active member and quilter of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She leaves behind one daughter, Robin Richardson (Ron), a dear friend, Margaret Bogert and her longtime companion, Joe Bertucci and many friends. A special thanks to staff and residents of Merrill Gardens and the angels of Franciscan Hospice House. A funeral service will be held on July 23, 2016 at Mountain View Memorial Funeral Home, Aspen Chapel. Viewing will be 10-11:30am with the service at 11:30 with reception following.
