Grace Elizabeth Freel's Obituary
Grace Elizabeth Freel was stillborn on 23 September 2014. She is survived by her father and mother Isaac and Hannah Freel and grandparents Colin and Esther Freel and Brock and Cheryl Thomas. Grace only lived a very short time inside her mother, but she left an impact on many. The Lord used her life to work in the hearts of her parents and those who prayed for her and her parents. The Lord God used her to show us that life is a blessing. Every gift we are given is not to be taken for granted. Every breath is a gift. Every moment we spend with friends and family is a gift. Every moment of joy and pleasure is an amazing gift. But that is not all. Every painful loss is a gift for those who love God; for those who are called according to His purpose. Grace taught us what grace really is. She showed us that life is awfully painful and sick and fallen and broken, but she showed us that it is at these times of poignant pain that the comfort we have through the blood of Jesus Christ is the grace that means more than life. We are broken and helpless but Christ pulls us out of our misery and gives us hope. He tells us that “Death is swallowed up in victory” and He means it. We have the promise that “The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves such as have a contrite spirit” – Psalm 34:18. Grace’s legacy is that God is using her to teach us that truly His grace is sufficient.
