Gordon L. Quinn "Gordy"'s Obituary
Gordy was born August 17, 1951 to Belma and Harold Quinn in Decatur, Illinois. He grew up in Decatur and Granite City, Illinois. He and longtime friend, Robert (Bob) Conway grew up and took part in lots of Shenanigans that most teenagers did.
Gordy served 22 years 2 months and 2 days in the United States Army and retired as a CW3. He enjoyed his duty stations in Germany so much that he and wife Denise vacationed for 3 and a half weeks in 2008.
Gordy was most proud of his family, children, Heidi (Geoff), Amanda (Ro), Drew, Abegail (Chuck) and Derek (Tanya). His grandchildren, Kahe'le, Gavin, Koryonna, Lynise, Delyilah, Chagail and Brooke.
Gordy loved to travel with friends Rick and Judy and also with Don and Angie. He enjoyed his pets and watching wildlife from his window. Family gatherings made him happy and was especially fond of family in Moweaqua, Illinois, Bill and Mary Jane Carr and Imogene Benge of Macon, Illinois.
Gordy will be missed by all, most by his loving wife, best friend and soul mate, Denise.
