I went to high school with Gordon and Oriana. I just discovered Gordon passed because our class is planning its 30th high school reunion and his obituary was just posted on our class Facebook group wall. We are all shocked and saddened and I am especially sad for Oriana, as well as Gordon's parents and children. Oh I am so very sorry to hear about this, I went to school with Gordon and Oriana back in grade school. I always remember Gordon as very kind and am sad to know of his passing. I hope the lord gives his family strength and peace and that Gordon is smiling down on everyone.

I’m so sorry for the loss of your son Evelyn. My sincere condolences to you, Eddie and Oriana as well to Gordon jr and Maddison. Gordon “juke” Merritt was my good friend and I’m stunned to hear that he passed. He lit up all our lives with his easy smile and his competitive spirit. My prayers to your family.
