Gordon King Wlikerson's Obituary
Gordon King Wilkerson Beloved Father, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather was born on July 10, 1921 in Wilmington, NC. He went home to be with the Lord on May 24, 2009 at the age of 87, with family and friends present. He joined the US Navy at a young age and was a WWII veteran who fought bravely at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941. Later in his military career, Gordon transferred to the US Air Force and retired after 27 years of military service. After his military career and as a resident of Lakewood, WA for the last 45 years, Gordon spent many years as a small business owner involved in ownerships ranging from a service station to motels and real estate properties. Gordon is survived by his wife Frances, his six children Theresa, Linda, Gordon Jr., Richard, Joseph and Sandra as well as fifteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. Services will be held at St John Bosco Church, 10508 112th St. SW, Lakewood, WA 98498, on Friday, May 29th with a viewing at 9:45 AM, Rosary at 10:00 AM and Mass at 11:00 AM. Following Mass will be a reception and graveside military honors at approximately 1:30 PM.
