When I first met Gordon we both worked at General Steamship in Portland, OR. I was the receptionist and the front desk faced the elevators. Gordon would get off the elevators and before entering the office he'd always jump up into the air, kick his foot out and touch his toe. He was light on his feet.
My brother Gordon was 11 years older than I was, and I looked up to him like he was "The Fonz". I remember him being an excellent archer and would bring me chipmunk tails and a blue racer snake skin, he was an amazing shot with a recurve bow. He also had me listen to songs by Peter Paul and Mary, the Kingston Trio, and the Beatles. "Liberty Valence" was a song I heard often also. I was fortunate to be able to see him after decades two months before he passed and will treasure our many talks on the phone forever. Sail on, brother.
