Am so sorry to hear of Gordon's passing. He interviewed and hired me 5/27/57 as a GS2 Clerk Typist at the QM Self Service Supply Center (SSSC) W-4, Ft. Lewis. We remained in contact over the years. He even called me when I lived in CA and he was passing through Travis AFB and I drove up to visit him. After I retired in 1988, I visited him whenever I got to the Tacoma Area - at the VA Hospital, his home, and more recently (2 yrs ago) in Puyallup after the passing of our former co-worker and friend, Jan Gresswell. I always enjoyed receiving an update at Christmas time.....and when he could no longer do the cards, his brother Gunnar would write for him.
Gordon was a great boss. I learned alot from him, i.e., work ethics, cribbage, poker.
I send condolences to his family and hope they remember his funny side. Being a swede myself, we had this common Swede thing versus the Norwegians because Jan was Norwegian and many jokes were shared.
May he now rest in peace with Carolyn and their son Ricky.##imported-begin##Johanna Caylor##imported-end##
