Gloria Legacy's Obituary
Gloria Legacy
Gloria Legacy completed her journey to heaven on May 9, 2018. Her last years were focused on family as she had already met many of her goals.
Gloria was born in Matlock on December 1, 1931. Her early days were spent providing meals for the loggers at Simpson Camp Five. She met her husband Claude and they were married in Lakeview in 1950. She is survived by 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Many of Gloria’s memories were made at her cabin on Haven Lake. Friends and family gathered for weekends and holidays to share her enjoyment of the cabin. While Gloria didn’t swim, but she loved the water and enjoyed watch kids, grandkids, and others “get wet.”
Much of her happiness came from the Masonic Order as she was heavily involved in the Order of Rainbow Girls and the Order of the Amaranth. She held leadership roles in both organizations and was a Past Royal Matron for Lakewood Court.
Gloria loved to travel and would adventure anywhere her best friend, Mary Lou, wanted to go. The Dynamic Duo traveled to several states and returned with memories they often shared.
The family was mostly surprised by her love of the Seattle Mariners baseball team. She watched every game and sometimes the replay following the game perhaps hoping the loss would magically turn around.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30AM on Saturday, June 2, at the Celebration of Life Hall at Mountain View Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
