Gloria Harris' Obituary
Gloria Harris passed away peacefully in her home in Steilacoom, Washington, on February 23, 2021. Born in North Philadelphia on November 18, 1941, Gloria was a devoted military wife, mother, and educator. She took pride and joy in raising her four sons and in serving as an educator with the Clover Park School District where she was named Employee of the Year (2000-2001). Gloria is survived by her husband of 59 years, 1SG (Ret.) Thomas Harris, Sr., and by her loving sons, Thomas Harris, Jr., Anthony Harris, and Edward Harris. Gloria is also survived by her five grandchildren, Helaina, Olivia, Joshua, Quentin, and Jacqueline. Gloria's beloved son Hayward "Spud" Harris preceded her in death, and they are now together.
Gloria – lovingly known as “Mrs. Harris,” “Glo,” "Mom,” and "Grandma" – made us all stronger, better people. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Gloria's life on Thursday, March 4, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. in the Valley Chapel at Mt. View Memorial Park.
