Glenn Joseph Brazil Jr.'s Obituary
Glenn Joseph Brazil Jr., age 79, passed away peacefully on March 17, 2026. He was born on November 5, 1946, in Tacoma, Washington at Tacoma General Hospital to Betty Lee Brazil and Glenn Joseph Brazil Sr.
Glenn was raised in Tacoma and graduated from Mt. Tahoma High School in 1965. In 1967, he proudly enlisted in the United States Coast Guard, beginning his service as an E-1. Through dedication, perseverance, and a strong work ethic, he built a distinguished military career spanning 30 years, ultimately retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer 04. His time in the Coast Guard was a defining chapter of his life, one he carried with pride and honor.
On April 22, 1978, Glenn married the love of his life, Venishia Gregg Beller. Together, they built a life centered around family, commitment, and shared experiences.
After retiring from the Coast Guard, Glenn’s entrepreneurial spirit and love for exploration led him to open a travel agency, combining his business mindset with one of his greatest passions—traveling. Glenn had a deep appreciation for seeing the world and creating experiences, something he enjoyed sharing with others.
Outside of his professional life, Glenn had a true passion for classic cars, especially his beloved 1956 Chevy Bel Air. He was actively involved in car clubs, shows, and events, where he formed lasting friendships and enjoyed the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts. Glenn also had a well-known love for the color purple and was a loyal fan of the Washington Huskies football, proudly supporting his team whenever he could.
Glenn was a devoted father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He is survived by his children: Glenn Joseph Brazil III “Joe,” Suzanne Brazil-Geyshick, and Alison Clark, as well as his honorary daughter, Alyssa Beller. Glenn also leaves behind a legacy through his nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom brought him immense pride and joy.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Betty Lee Brazil and Glenn Joseph Brazil Sr.; his son, Adam Beller; and his siblings, sister Dorothy “Dot” Brazil, brother Terry “Tub” Brazil, and sister-in-law Vickie Brazil.
Glenn will be remembered for his strength, dedication, sense of adventure, and the love he had for his family. His legacy of service, curiosity, and connection will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
