Glenn Arthur SeickAge 84, Glenn was born in Craig, CO. on January 26, 1919, and died June 26, 2003, in Tacoma, WA.He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Caro E. Seick, daughter Glenna Mitchell of Escondido, CA., son Steven Seick of San Diego, CA., granddaughter Laurie Mitchell, and grandsons Greg Mitchell and Patrick Seick. He is also survived by brothers Raymond, Gerald, and Ferd Seick, and sisters Bessie Lagasse and Faye Martin.Glenn served in the United States Army in World War II in Sicily, Italy and France with the 45th Division. He received a battlefield commission, Bronze Star, and two purple hearts. He was captured in France in January 1945 and liberated in April 1945. During the Korean War he served in the Air Force in Korea.Glenn graduated from the College of Puget Sound in 1951. He taught at McCarver and Stewart Junior High Schools from 1955-1981. He was a lifetime member of the Tacoma Elks Lodge #174 and a member of the V.F.W. Lodge 969.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Mason United Methodist Church Memorial Fund.A Memorial Service will be held at Mason United Methodist Church on July 2, 2003 at 1 pm.
