Glen Leroy Woolery Sr.'s Obituary
Glen Leroy Woolery, age 59, of Tacoma, Washington passed away on January 9, 2016. Born April 15, 1956 to Darlene and the late Harry Woolery. He was the first of three children. He attended Mt. Tahoma High School. After graduation he began a career as a mill worker and warehouse laborer. Glen had a strong work ethic and dedication for the companies he worked for; Spanaway Lumber, Northwest Door and most recent Schnitzer Steel Ind.
Glen will be remembered for being a kind, loving and friendly person. He enjoyed working on home projects, yard sales and a collector of antiques.
Glen is preceded in death by his first wife of 24 years, Carmen Woolery and domestic partner of 16 years, Bernice Sinor; Brother Harry Woolery Jr. and a sister Connie Woolery.
He is survived by his children, Glen Woolery Jr. and Lisa Marie (Philip) Wilson; his loving girlfriend Christine Grimm; Grandchildren Carlos, Treyvon, Talia and Nathan Woolery and a host of nieces, nephews and close friends.
Family will receive family and friends for a visitation at Mountain View Funeral Home on Sunday, January 17th from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
A Celebration of Glen's life will be held Monday, January 18th, 2:00 PM at Mountain View Funeral Home Celebration of Life Center in the Aspen Chapel. Graveside committal services will follow at 3:30 PM at Calvary Cemetery; Lakewood, WA. Following services there will be a reception in the Celebration of Life Center Willow Room, the gathering pot luck of family and friends will begin at 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation in Glen's name be made to the American Heart Association.
