Aunt Gladys, it is so hard to believe you are gone. My heart aches because of the loss, and yet there's a famous saying that is so true -- it's better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all. I've known you all my life, but it's only been in recent years since I moved to the Tacoma area that I've gotten to really know you, and you certainly have been a blessing. One thing I'll always remember about you is that every time I visited you, you'd always send me away with a gift, if even it was just something you had around the house. Each gift was special, because I knew that they meant you were giving me your heart. I love your sense of humor, your smile, and how you and Uncle Bob have let me into your hearts. I think you've loved me into becoming a Norwegian! A person can be Norwegian by birth or by blood, and apparently by love as well. You're in my heart forever. Love, Kelli##imported-begin##Kelli Manos##imported-end##
Dear Bob - We mourn with you at the loss of your beloved wife and our dear friend, Gladys. The good times we've shared all these many years are forever stored in our minds and etched on our hearts. Her earthly journey is over and we now picture her dancing with the angels.##imported-begin##Sylvia & Ozzie Warwick##imported-end##
Granda you will be greatly missed and my heart goes out to Grandpa. Thank you for letting me me adopt you as my grandparents when I was a little girl living next door. I may have lost touch with you when you moved from the house but you will forever be remembered in my heart. God Bless.##imported-begin##Anita Bowser##imported-end##

It was you Gladys, who first taught me to dance at the Sons of Norway hall. To see you and Bob dance the night away at social after social was a sight that would lighten everyone's hearts and put smiles on our faces. You were so kind with your thoughts and your words of support at your wonderful Sons lodge.I will forever hold your memories in my grasp. I will now miss your smile and practicing my "norsk" with you. Bob is in our thoughts and our prayers.##imported-begin##Doug Andreassen##imported-end##
I'll always remember when I came to a workshop in Seattle a few years ago and Gladys and Bob picked me up from my hotel and took me out to dinner. I appreciated it so much, we had such a good time. Gladys was such a nice lady. I will never forget her. Thank you again. My condolences to Bob and the family. Linda##imported-begin##Linda Foolbear-Skogstad##imported-end##
Uff Da! Gramma Marr you are with Jesus today smiling :) down on all of us, wishing we wouldn't worry so much about you. And yes, it will be lonely for a while down here but we have our trust in Lord Jesus that he will be with us during this time of sorrow - helping us to remember the good things... You convinced five young Rolf kids to join Sons of Norway so many years ago. We even came down to learn to dance! You kept our mother's Norwegian roots alive in our hearts telling us about your travels to Norway and visiting our relatives! You even took me on my first Salmon fishing trip so many years ago (1976)! And now I'm a King Salmon Guide! It's all to your credit lady! You continued to call us even as recently as a few months ago - just to give us your love! And Robert talked the AF into taking me and made a career man out of me! It's to you I owe such much of where life has taken me. I love you Gramma Marr. We will meet again some day and there I will be able to talk Norwegian with you and laugh.##imported-begin##Gary & Erika Rolf##imported-end##
