Gino Joseph Moroni's Obituary
Gino Joseph Moroni passed away on February 4, 2021 in Tacoma, WA. Gino was born on January 7, 1949 to Jimmie & Dorothy Moroni. Gino’s father, Jimmie Moroni preceded him in death. Gino is survived by his mother Dorothy Moroni, sisters Toni Moroni and Linda Horst and brother in law Garry Horst. Gino’s youngest sister, Sandra Moroni preceded Gino in death. Gino’s beloved son Morgan Joseph Moroni preceded him in death and they are now together forever. Gino is survived by his granddaughter Lyric Shultz, many cousins, nephews and nieces. Gino is deeply missed by his family, friends, and neighbors. Gino was raised in the Catholic Church, attended Bellarmine High school and graduated from University of Puget Sound in June 1972 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and minor in Economics. Gino was proud of his Italian heritage and was able to visit Italy on several occasions while getting to know his Italian family. Gino loved to ride his motorcycles, loved his guns, was kind, humble, helpful, thoughtful, witty and intelligent. Gino was well-read, was politically active had a zest for life and a hunger for learning new things. Gino was a gifted conversationalist with a sharp sense of humor and was mechanically inclined, traits he shared with his son.
Mass and Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 5, at 11 AM at Holy Cross Church, 5510 N 44th St., Tacoma, WA 98406, with the burial to follow at 12:30 PM at Mountain View Funeral Home & Crematory, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. SW, Lakewood, WA 98499.
