Gilbert Daniel Wise's Obituary
Gilbert Daniel Wise was born near Virdon, Manitoba, Canada on May 28, 1928 to Dallas Wise (USA) and Emma Jordon Wise (Canada). He passed away at his home in Lakewood, WA on June 29, 2018. After attending college for one year, Gilbert went into the Army for 4 years. He brought home a German bride and together they had three children.
He enrolled at Bates Technical College and after graduation, he worked for PNB later Quest Telephone Company for 32 years. It was there he met and married Linda Burton Isaacson, who was his companion and wife for 39 years. During the time he was employed by the Telephone Company, he started Wise Guard Burglar Alarm Systems, started a Sport Shop in Gig Harbor, and went into the rental business with Linda. He and Linda were with the Pot and Kettle Club for 35 years. They were and are active members of the Lakewood Conservative Baptist Church on Steilacoom Blvd.
Gilbert now joins his mother and father in-law, parents, and many friends in the mansion God has prepared for him. He is survived by his wife Linda; Sons: Gordon, Ken (Micki), Daniel Jordan, Glenn Jordan (Kari); his daughter Helene Jane Bissonnette (George), several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and wonderful extended family.
A memorial service with a reception to follow will be held at Lakewood Baptist Church, 8521 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Tacoma, WA 98498 Sunday July 8th, 2018 at 2:30pm.
