Gertrude S. Thompson's Obituary
Gertrude S. Thompson of Normandy Park passed away Sept. 19, 2004 at the age of 90. She was born in Sumner on Oct. 5, 1913 to James and Violet Shook.Gertrude was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Erling P. Thompson. She was a homemaker with style and grace, and was active in the community, as wedding planner for John Knox Presbyterian Church, and Normandy Park Garden Club member for many years. She is survived by two sons, Mark (Kristi) and David (Penny); and ten grandchildren, Chris, Terry, Brian, Davey, James, Ashley, Jason, Jessica, Suzan, and Stacey.Gertrude will always be remembered for her many creative talents, her warm and friendly personality, and loving nature.Services will be held Friday, September 24, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. in the Mt. View Garden Chapel. Arrangements by Mountain View Funeral Home. 584-0252.
