Gertrude Maude Kitchens' Obituary
Gertrude Maude Kitchens was born in Fanny, Polk County, MN on January 27, 1901. She was the youngest of four children born to Donald L. & Gertrude Harmsley Jenkins. She was raised by her grandparents in Oklahoma and raised her five children there. She was a charter member of over 50 years of the OES #380. She later moved to Steilacoom, WA where she made her home. She passed away March 17, 2005 at home with her family by her side.Preceded in death by son, Donald Kitchens, several grandchildren & great-grandchildren. She is survived by daughter, Clyda Gibson, son Billy (Paula) Kitchens of Steilacoom, daughter Eva Jo (Elwyn) Smith of Lakewood, son James (Virginia) of Lawton, OK, 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren & 18 great-great grandchildren.Viewing will be from 1 pm Â- 9 pm, Monday, March 21, 2005 and Tuesday prior to service at Mountain View Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 12:30 pm, Tuesday, March 22, 2005 at Mountain View Memorial Park, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Tacoma, WA.
