Geraldine Reed's Obituary
Geraldine G. Reed quietly passed away on March 23, 2011 at the age of 96. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years Carl W. Reed and her twin brother Gerald Oesterling. Born July 3, 1914 in Norfolk, Nebraska she lived most of her adult life in Tacoma, WA. As a Retail Clerk she worked many years at Sprouse Reitz and other retail outlets. After retirement she enjoyed fishing (a love she shared with her grandsons), attending the Sacramento Jazz Festival and traveling with her sister-in-law and friend Janet Lambertz. Gerry is survived by her daughters Ellen Lowrie and Judy McKasson (Chuck), grandsons Reed Lowrie (Amy), John Lowrie, Charlie McKasson (Becky) and Steve McKasson, and great-grandaughters Hannah & Sidney McKasson. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and a caring friend to all who were privileged enough to have known her. She will be greatly missed. The family's heartfelt appreciation goes to the caregivers of Family First Adult Family Homes for their love and kindness during this difficult time.
