George W. Brown's Obituary
George Willard ( "Muggs") Brown 6/26/1919 - 3/22/08 Dad was born in Heaton, North Dakota, the youngest of seven brothers and sisters. He died quietly in his sleep Saturday morning, "pushing ninety", as he used to say. A Navy Veteran, after the war, he moved his young family out west, eventually landing in Parkland, Washington, where he lived for over 50 years. He was a proud and long-term member of Resilient Floor Coverings Local Union 1238. He is proceeded in passing by his wife and our Mom, Madalynne, and survived by his brother Jasper, his children Wenda (and Dave Duttry), Renae Rowley, Tamara (and Tom Spiller), and Mark (and Diane Brown). Hard-working and generous, Dad was a great reader, loved to fish and camp and had an amazing green thumb. He was happiest puttering around his garden, or enjoying a big family get-together, eating Mom's pie, and watching his 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren play in the yard. Dad, you were "okay"! We miss you. Viewing at Mt. View Funeral Home, , Thurs., March 27, 3-9PM. Service at noon, Fri., Mar. 28th, Parkland Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the National Autism Society of America.
