My name is Fennell C. Smith, aka DJ Kooky Hy and I would like to say that I had the pleasure of working with Ron Thomas at ktoy at l h Bates Vocational School as part of the radio broadcasting team that was known as the music power Giants that was put together by Ron Thomas. Ron was an excellent person to work with. He was a hell of a on-air personality. It was because of him that Tacoma and the surrounding area was able to enjoy R & B music and at the time a little Disco. This was around 1977 when I got here in Tacoma to 1980 after I finished my Broadcasting at Bates. We have plenty of good times and plenty of trying times but he always pulled us out of the bad times. He allowed us to have our on-air personalities which our listening audience seemed to love. And yes he will be truly missed. He's always say at the end of his show don't forget to drink your milk. I could go on but I think when I say that you will be truly missed. You will my brother. Peace Ron

It was with great sadness that we learned about the passing of your father.
Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, but love leaves a memory no one can steal. When someone you love is gone, love becomes a memory, the memory becomes a treasure and their love leaves an indelible imprint in our memoirs. Although it's difficult today to see beyond the sorrow, may looking back in memory help comfort you tomorrow.
