George Edward Reynolds

George was born to Curtis and Ida Reynolds in Bainville, MT, the only boy with 4 sisters. Two sisters, Trudy Harris of Canada and Valera Martinson of Tacoma, WA, preceded him in death. Sister Judy (Glen) Stevens resides in Bigfork, MT, and Bernice Bishop in Stevensville, MT. George was a graduate of Bainville High. He came out to Tacoma looking for work, and after some time gave up and joined the Air Force. Some years later he was transferred back to McChord AFB, where he met and married his partner in life of 57 years, Joyce. They had 5 children, Thomas, Larry (Dawn), Gary (Peggy), all residing in Tacoma, Dennis, who preceded George in death, and Catherine Stephens, residing in Albuquerque, NM. He had 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildnre, 1 great-great-grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. George will be missed by many. George did one tour in Korea and 2 in Vietnam. He retired at McChord AFB with 27 years, then went to work for McDonald's on 72nd and Pacific for 17 years as a maintenance man. George was most happy camping with family and friends. He spent many hours walking the beaches looking for glass balls and floats, or traveling to old Indian ruins. He was a life member of Ray C. Roberts VFW, a 41-year member of Tacoma Eageles #3, and a member of the Roaming Eagles R.V. Club. In his memory make donations to a charity of your choice or any cancer charity. Graveside services with military honors will be held Monday, June 27, 2011 at 2:30 pm at Mountain View. Following the service a reception will be held at the Tacoma Eagles #3, 4810 South Tacoma Way.
