George was more than a brother, he was my friend. I loved him dearly. I was twelve when he was born, "My Little Brother". He was intelligent, talented and funny. Uncle Georgy was so special to me. He always was fun to be with and had a fun sense of adventure and humor. Both as a little girl and as a grown woman, he made me feel special and that he cared about what I was up to no matter how big or small it was. Their house on College Road in Fairbanks, cabin out on Chena Hot Springs Road, home in Anchorage, and their beautiful beachfront home on Anderson Island all hold happy and endearing memories for me. I always thought Uncle Georgy knew it all -- that he could fix or do anything he wanted to. He and Aunt Judy were a wonderful couple; it was a great day when Georgy introduced us to our soon to-become Aunt Judy some 30 plus years ago. They set a good example of a loving marriage for me. My husband Richard loves both of them too and they always made him welcome and feel part of the family. I like what my brother Kurt said about Georgy and my Daddy (Chuck), Aunt Bonnie and Gramma all being together -- that helps make the sadness be replaced with joy and hope. My memories of Uncle Georgy -- I will cherish for ever and carry in my heart each day. George was a special guy and will be sorely missed. He always made us laugh and never ceased to amaze us with his knowledge on many topics. He was a good husband for 31 years to my sister, Judy and was a wonderful, kind and loving brother-in-law to me. My husband Pete and I are truly saddened by George's death.

Judy, please accept my deepest sympathy. George and I were neighbors, buddies, pals, and we had 'occasional' drinks together at the end of many a 'normal day' in Udorn, Thailand. Because he was the Boss for getting things done, he sent me to many unwanted places, to which I would always ask, "Why me, Pappy?" He would smile and tell me to get going so I could get back for another fun trip. George was so much more than a working associate. He was always considerate, great sense of humor, and dedicated to the job. I treasure the time Pappy and I spent together. He was a good friend.
