George C. Grogan's Obituary
George Grogan was born in Milton Freewater, OR, February 20, 1912 to Gayther W. & Belle N. (Greer) Grogan, passed away peacefully in Tacoma, WA, April 28, 2005.He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Zoe Grogan, and brothers Dennis Howard, Edward, Henry and sister Blanche Moody.Survivors include daughter-in-law Arlene Kershaw, Orting, WA; grandchildren Shelli Manderson, Seattle, WA; and Kirk Scott Kershaw, Graham, WA; great-grandchildren Jessica, Cherri and Racheal Kershaw; and several nieces and nephews.George served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during WWII in the Eastern Theater. George worked as an automobile mechanic prior to working for and retiring from Fort Lewis Logistics Center as Lead Warehouseman.He enjoyed working in his immense rose and vegetable gardens. He was an active member in the Steilacoom Masonic Lodge. Also he enjoyed extensive U.S. traveling with his wife. Viewing will be held from 1 PM to 9 PM, Friday, May 6, 2005 at Mountain View Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Saturday, May 7, 2005 in the Mt. View Celebration of Life Center.
