George Bruce Warren's Obituary
George Bruce Warren, born November 3, 1913, in St. John, North Dakota, passed away peacefully in Enumclaw, Washington on December 28, 2009. In North Dakota he met and married Laura Jane Allery and together they raised four children. George was preceded in death by his wife Laura, son Gerald, brothers Joe, Robert, Edward, and his only sister Irene. Surviving are his daughters Stella (Wendell Farley) and Linda (LeRoy Stull), son Pascal (Cindi), and Marilyn (wife of Gerald), 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, along with two brothers William and Charles.
During World War II George worked in the Civil Conservation Corp and later moved to Bremerton, Washington where he worked at the shipyard. He eventually worked and retired from Bonneville Power Administration. His family was his number one love in life although fishing was a close second. He always kept family and friends entertained by the stories he loved to tell.
A Vigil Service (Rosary) will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church, 17th St SE in Auburn, WA. Reception to follow in the Hall located next door. Internment will be at 1:30 p.m. at Gethsemane Cemetary in Federal Way, WA. Please join our family as we say good-bye to our beloved Dad, Grandpa, Brother, Uncle, and Friend.
