George Austin Gregory's Obituary
George A. Gregory July 16, 1923 - Sept. 18, 2008 George passed away in his home. In 1972, he founded GAEY Specialties & Awards, a retail store in the Tillicum area of Lakewood. He enjoyed 3 generations of soldier customers until his recent illness. 1SG (Ret) Gregory served in the U.S. Army for 22 years, during which he saw action in WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He received numerous decorations. This gave him a real connection to his customers, who often stopped by to swap stories. This led to a spot about his store on ABC Evening News. He will be missed by his daughters Tavie Smith, Martha Moore, (Ed), four grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two step-great-grandchildren, his sister Blanche Bradley, and nieces and nephews. Service will be at Mountain View at 11 AM Tuesday, Sept. 23rd, 2008. "Gone Dancing"
