Genie Laureen Crow's Obituary
Genie Laureen Crow, born November 23, 1946, lived her entire life in Tacoma, Washington.
She is survived by her daughter, Debra Denton; two grandchildren, Erica Denton and Kenneth Denton; mother, Ella Ballard; all of Tacoma; sister Judi Ballard, of Corpus Christi, TX; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Crow, and father Allen "Gene" Ballard, and a very special grandmother, Meda Bartlett.
Genie passed June 12, 2010 after a three-year journey with cancer. She said that God would "Take Care Of The Rest" if she just did what she needed to do; and she did that without complaining. She has been an inspiration to those that shared this struggle and watched as she did what needed to be done. This was accomplished because of the help and comfort provided by members of Grace Baptist Church, and the compassion and care provided by the employees of The Franciscan Health System, and Hematology Oncology Northwest, P.C.
A Memorial Service will be held 7pm, Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at Grace Baptist Church, 2507 N. Vassault, Tacoma.
